I really enjoy carving pumpkins and this year I finally decided to do one after many years of missing out. Well I don't really enjoy the cleaning out the guts part but that is only one small step. Of course I choose a difficult picture that takes me waayy too long but the end result is worth it. Next year I think i'm going to do more that's for sure. I have a tip for everyone though. I carved it too early and to save it hopefully for Halloween night, I found out you can coat it with petroleum jelly to help it keep. We'll see if it works!

Amber, that's fantastic! You're so talented!
Wow, Wow, Wow, that is amazing! Is it the cat from Shrek?? Amber you are way too good. Why didn't I get a little bit of the art talent?
Amber! You always amaze me. That pumpkin is great, Good work.
I love scooping the guts out! Give me a call next year and then I can pretend like I had some special part in your amazing talents!!! I showed Greg and he asked how you could possibly do that without wrecking it in the process... good question! Great job Amber, but coming from you, I'm really not all that surprised!
This is the first time i visited your blog amber. That cat pumpkin is awesome. So are your cookies..hint..hint
Peace
That is incredible, I love it! You are most definitely talented in many regards.
Wow, Amber I really like your cat pumpkin. It is so unique and creative.
I have never seen a nicer pumpkin,wow!!!
Oh my goodness Amber! Your pumpkin is remarkable! As are your cupcakes, cakes, and pieces of art. :) You are so talented and that's such a blessing. I also loved the painting done by the special needs child. It's beautiful abstract art! Stuff like that makes it into art galleries! Way to go girl! Keep up the amazing work. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. You do so much for others. :)
Ok, that is amazing. Usually you only see art like that in fancy magazines. Very impressive. I'm always worried that if I try to do that fine of detail in a pumpkin that I will accidently cut it too thin and it will fall apart. I could not handle the presure. Wow
That truly is an awesome pumpkin. You must have used very small, very sharp tools. I am all about the Jack-o-lantern and if I get time I will post my goofy and scary ones for you to see. And I agree that it is almost impossible to take a really good clear photo of pumpkins.
