I know that after this couse ends I will continue doing art in many different forms. I will always love cake decorating! I want to become better at it, and explore new techniques and ideas (I made a Baptism cake for my friend's daughter on the weekend and it turned out great!). A long time ago I started scrapbooking and I would like to get back into it again, if I ever have the time. I feel more comfortable doing minor drama activities but will need some more practice to be able to drama with ease and confidence. The other thing that I would absolutely love to learn, is to play the guitar. Unfortunately I don't think I will be able to because I'm getting carpal tunnel, but hey I can always wish right ! (I think i'll have to stick to guitar hero to reach my dreams :P). Once school finishes I will hopefully get back into drawing as well! So much to do and so little time.
I am very excited for Christmas to come because I am going to paint my windows at home with Christmas scenes. I have done it before and it looks great (but isn't fun to clean up after xmas is over). Art will always have a big part in my life, and i'm very glad that it will!

Your post meant a lot to me...it seems that a lot of people postpone their artistic endeavors till they aren't as busy or when school is over. I too have been trying to teach myself to play guitar, but always put it aside because I have homework to do and so forth. Maybe we should try and block such artistic activities into our daily routines, no matter how busy we are. I bet it would help us out in the long run...but it seems hard to do. I am going to try though....
I agree! I have always wanted to learn how to play a musical instrument, I think my number one choice would be the piano. I think it would be such an plus to be able to play an instrument in the classroom.
Amber, very insightful blog. I agree...we always put things off or we want something that we wish we had or done. I have to set and stick to my goals as well and one of them is to become more artistic. I am envious of your talent. However, I can say that I too am a mean cake decorator - you get to be when you become a mom or operate a daycare. It is so rewarding when the kids see the cake and get so excited. I remember when I put the candles in a plastic castle frame for my son's 6th birthday and the frame ignited - boy he had to blow out a big candle then!!
